Its a very neat little game but could definitely use a lot in the way of polish.

The spear feels like it has little reason to exist compared to the sword and I believe gameplay would improve if it instead poked straight out from the player and was a bit faster.

Additionally, getting hurt felt like it had very little impact and I was often surprised that my hp bar was as low as it was.

Which leads into the fact that health potions don't really stick out as much as the should and don't really have an animation when used. It took me longer than i'd care to admit to realize they weren't background objects.

Other than those three main gripes this is a nicely put together game. Its always cool to see what people can manage in the way of infinite procedural generation.

I like it but I'm too bad to beat it

The game is quite fun and attractive, I only find a gameplay flaw that the character takes a long time to stop and reduces the precision when walking. Sorry for the english i'm hispanic.

Great improvements, I like the way this is going. Movement and attacks feel nice (except for the charging input someone already mentioned). I like the music and sound effects, too!
Regarding bugs: I was battling the slime boss and I paused the game, but I was not able to unpause or click any button after that so I had to close the game.

Also, there's a chest in a room, but I couldn't interact with it. Not sure if it's possible or not.

  • The charge attack input buffer is next on my list, to improve the feel of combat! definitely something that I think will improve the overall feel of gameplay.
  • I will look into what caused the game getting stuck in pause mode, as this is the first time hearing of it, thank you!
  • Unfortunately chests are not interactable yet, but this is on the to do list for next weeks update! I would like them to spawn as rewards for clearing rooms, with random loot! 

Ohh this definitely has potential. Can't wait for more content to be added.

As for any bugs, I noticed if you hold the mouse button as the weapon is returning to a normal state, you won't actually charge the weapon for a power attack.

I also encountered a bug with the buttons not working after you die; I couldn't replicate it  unfortunately.

I'm gonna keep an eye on this game, good job on it so far!

I've been working on the game these past few days and am releasing an update today. unfortunately I could not implement the input buffer yet, in order to charge your attacks early and make combat feel much nicer. This is planned for next weeks update for sure! as I see this as a big issue for my game feel. I have not encountered the bug of weapons not working yet, but I did do some optimizations regarding the weapon animations, and I wasn't properly resetting values sometimes, so this may have been fixed, but I will definitely keep my eye out for it. Thank you again! :)

Thank you! The current version is pretty hard! I have yet to implement regaining of health, and the ability to improve your stats. Version 0.3 next week should be easier! :)
